For years, the thought of injuring our “perfect paint” would relegate the world’s best driving machines to garage queen status, only to be enjoyed on weekends or for that occasional cruise night. With the introduction of modern PPF (Paint Protection Film), this fear is no longer a valid concern, and owners can drive and enjoy their cars, as life it too short to just keep them in the garage.
The Last Detail is a certified Llumar dealer and highly trained professional installer. Using market-leading “Platinum” Paint Protection Film and state-of-the-art software, our team of PPF artisans painstakingly install self-healing film which delivers optical clarity while providing complete protection. Platinum PPF is fully hydrophobic, repelling dirt, while protecting the underlying paint from rock chips, road rash and surface damage. An added benefit of PPF is its self-healing properties, meaning that typical swirl marks and superficial surface scratches are self-healing and return to an ultra-glossy finish when parked outside in direct sunlight. As a proud Llumar partner, our film and installations are warranted for 10 years and guaranteed not to fade or yellow over this time.
When selecting a PPF installer it’s vital to understand and evaluate the workmanship and approach for the installation process. On 100% of our projects, large sections such as the front hood are installed using the bulk sheet method, eliminating the possibility of seams, and ensuring full protection and coverage. Smaller sections like fenders, quarter panels and door pillars are produced using our plotter, which allows for precise placement of film on the panel, and includes extending the edges to allow for wrapping, which delivers a finished look and added protection. Careful attention is given to each installation to eliminate the potential of stretch marks and air/moisture pockets which can leave behind unsightly work marks. Finally, using surgical like precision, careful trimming is conducted to ensure that the finished project is completed in such a way that the film is virtually invisible, will not lift, and will protect the vehicle for years to come.
